Australia Surf Report & Forecast

Australia has world-class waves on almost every stretch of its coast. On the Gold Coast, Snapper Rocks and Kirra are famous for long, sand-bottomed right-hand barrels, usually best from about February to May when cyclone and south-east swells line up with offshore winds. Victoria's Bells Beach, home of the long-running Easter contest, comes alive on autumn and winter groundswell, while Margaret River in Western Australia catches the full power of the Indian Ocean on heavy reef breaks that suit experienced surfers.
